the year of reinforcement
This will be a year for reinforcing the self-improvement gains I've made over the course of my short, little life. The darkroom is all-but-finished; the print enlarger is assembled, the chemicals are lined up on the shelf, and we only need a few more lightproofing touches before the bumbling and stumbling begins.
I will re-enter the national workforce again as a writer, making my relatively useless (but hopefully lucrative) contributions once more.
I plan on keeping my HTML sharp-like with the freelance writing/design company I've been pretending to run on the side.
Library visits will be a regular part of my schedule again; I'll read up on the latest research in psychological and biological science to make sure I'm informed well enough for a possible return to academics.
I'm going to pick up the flute again, before I forget how.
Lastly, I intend to start taking Japanese lessons to refresh what I've learned, with the hope of expanding greatly on it. By the end of the year, I want to be able to sustain a slow, pausing conversation for at least five minutes.
That's the plan. But first: Some vacuum-cleaning.
